Vet In A Spin 1977, First edition. Two books available but the price is for just one. Both signed and both very good condition. No damage to book cob. These were given to the above recipients by James Herriot as he was their vet in Thirsk.

Very RARE especially in this condition. Signed by the author using his pen name James Herriot. Blue boards with gilt to spine.

Dust jacket shows no damage and Unclipped. Young James Herriot, animal doctor and trainee pilot, flies into rough weather in his quest for wings and finally spins helplessly to earth and back to his old life as a country vet.

The book touches on the flying training which Herriot delighted in, but it is less about the war than the people and the animals of his beloved Yorkshire Dales. The wild beauty of the countryside and the wonderfully varied life of the veterinary surgeon are pictured here.

James Herriot is gifted with total recall, and his stories reflect the laughter, sanity and constant compassion which he brings to his chosen way of life.
