This is a beautiful used copy in near fine condition. King sign this book for me when he was in Los Angeles for the last Rock'N'Roll performance of his band, The Rock Bottom Remainders. I posted some photos of the event. King signed books for me outside the theater, inside the theater, and even later at his hotel.
He was in great spirits. He usually doesn't sign older books or multiples but he was touring with the band and this was the last stop of the tour. I think he just decided to reward the fans and have fun. As you can see, I was able to secure a great signature here on the title page. I have held this book in my own collection for years but figured it's time to pass it onto another fan. This book contains all the points that identify it as a first printing: First Published in 1987 by Viking Penguin, Inc. The dust jacket is protected in a removable Mylar archival sleeve. The dust jacket has no rips, creasing. The boards are black/gray with red lettering. The book is used, the boards show slight wear and edge fading but overall a very nice copy. It's difficult to get older Stephen King like this autographed. King rarely does book signing events. Tickets for signed books sell out quickly. He usually will only sign the book he's currently promoting - so securing signed copies of his classic older books are quite difficult to secure. Here's your opportunity to own one of King's most beloved novels. This story was made into a great film starring Kathy Bates & James Caan.This book is signed on the title page in ink.
