The pages have also not been machine separated and are joined at edge (see scans). I have only come across this in a few expensive low print high quality books about the Society of the Cincinnati. I thought of this as a printing error but I have only come across this in limited edition high quality editions, often signed copies.
The book does not list a publisher as far as I can see. The cover shows wear around edges and what appears to be water exposure at the top, but is still solid and fully intact. Crushed outer spine ends and pushing at corners, as well as fading of the gold lettering on outer spine. The gold symbols on front and back not as faded.Inside front cover has stamp. Pages show foxing and tanning, as well as some separation starting between paste down end pages and inner spine, but still intact. The back cover inner paste down also has some neat penciled writing in the upper right corner.
Please see pics/scans for close-ups on the above mentioned areas. The book has plenty of condition issues but is a one-of-a-kind signed copy of a very rare book to begin with. I have not seen another copy in years for sale, only the Library of Congress copy. Apparently still in print, I have seen advertisements for brand new copies available but original or even later copies are and have been non-existent on the market for a good few years. An amazing way to read the Song Of Solomon along with unique mathematical designs/ symbols and monograms. Please check out my many other book listings, a number of which are rare editions. I have a huge collection and add listings as time permits.
