Signed First Edition Marian Anderson Book Excellent Condition

Perhaps the earliest major biography of an African-American concert artist. This historically important book is a rarity in and of itself.

This special first edition copy was signed in blue fountain pen by Anderson herself, under her printed portrait. And by the author George J. Barnett who collaborated on writing the book with Anderson's Finnish accompanist Kosti Vehanen, who recounts the decade he spent as Anderson's accompanist. The dust jacket is clipped o the opening inner tab as pictured, but otherwise in very nice shape. The book is also in excellent condition.
