Letters consists of the following titles: Early Years, 1905 - 1928, 1928 - 1945 Volume I, 1928 - 1945 Volume II. It is an all-matching set.
These are thick and heavy books and comprise thousands of total pages. Elliott Roosevelt (September 23, 1910 - October 27, 1990) was an American aviation official and wartime officer in the United States Army Air Forces, reaching the rank of brigadier general. He was a son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. This is a fantastic and rare collection!
Condition: All covers are tightly bound with no cracking or splitting of the gutters or hinges. The bindings remain firm and tight.
The binding of Volume I has some flecking, mostly on the front cover. All pages are clean, bright, and tightly bound. The books have a bookplate from being donated to the Library of Edgar Atland by Elliott Roosevelt.
They also have a bookplate and markings from once having been in The Historical Society of York County and were Withdrawn. They each have numbers on the spines, and a few red ink "Withdrawn" stamps. Refer to pictures in the listing.
This is a very rare signed set and remains in good condition. Would make a super addition to a collection.
