Beyond the Green Gate Stuart Brookes. 2013 First Limited Edition published by the author in conjuction with Fishingbooksender. Stuart is lucky enough to have fished the Colne Valley for twelve years and has fished a number of lakes within the Denham and Harefield during that time.

Stuart does not consider himself a "big fish angler" as to him, the weights of the fish he catches are not as important as the fish themselves. Although he has been fortunate to catch a number of big fish over the years, he believes that fish from the Colne Valley are all special and all have their place within English carp angling heritage. For the first five years that Stuart fished in the Valley he lived locally, however a change at work saw him move to Nottingham in 2006.

The next six years angling always started with a journey of one hundred and twenty five miles before getting the rods out of the car. His passion for the Colne Valley and the fish it holds is strong and before HS2 gets underway and decimates the area, he wanted to capture his story of life.
