Rare PRINCE BANTAM HardCover Book, 1929 1st Edition, signed by May McNeer (May Yonge McNeer WARD) & LYND WARD. This very hard to find Hardcover, 1st Edition book was signed by the authors and illustrator, Lynd Ward and May McNeer (pen name) and illustrator Lynd Ward, is in very good condition considering it is over 90 years old. Some slight discoloration on the outside spine of the book, some slight age discoloration but otherwise in very good preowned cosmetic condition. Binding is very good / excellent.
A little bit about the Wards (married couple). Lynd Ward was an American artist and novelist, known for his series of wordless novels using wood engraving and his illustration for juvenile and adult books.
His wordless novels have influenced the development of the graphic novel. May Yonge McNeer Ward (pen name May McNeer) was a 20th-century American Journalist and author of a variety of subjects writing under the pen name of May McNeer.
