This is a brand new unopened copy of the first volume of The Book of Dust - La Belle Sauvage - in a specially designed HB, cloth-bound edition in a cloth slipcase, finished with gold and silver foil. It is still in it's publisher's original shrink wrapping. Each copy, including this one, is signed by Philip Pullman, numbered & stamped with an engraving by John Lawrence, the illustrator. The cover illustration was specially prepared by Chris Wormwell. The first volume of The Book of Dust takes the reader back a decade before the events of the original Dark Materials trilogy when Lyra was just an infant. The last volume of that trilogy was written 17 years before this new book by the brilliant Philip Pullman (now, of course, Sir). A wonderful collectible book for any fan of Philip Pullman. When despatched the book will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
