Illustrated with four double-page color plates by the author (who is probably best known for his Madeline series of picture books). There were 175 signed copies of the limited edition.

This one is identified on the slipcase and the colophon as the Publisher's Copy. The illustration is of a bellhop at the Gran Hotel, in Quito. Near fine / Near fine. First edition (first printing, with no indication of later printings).

A very good or better copy (the red-orange spine is somewhat faded) in a very good slipcase, with some wear at the edges.
