For sale is a very recently re-bound set of' His Dark Materials' by Philip Pullman. This is a set of US first editions , published by Knopf (NY). All three books contain signatures by the author.

This set was re-bound in leather by Richard Tong of Lyra's Books in May 2020. The books have been bound in finest black goatskin leather, supplied by Harmatan and Oakridge who are widely regarded as the finest book leather supplier in Europe. Designs depicting the alethiometer, the knife, and Lyra and Will have been stamped in gold to the front covers.

Blind' single line frames have been hand tooled around the edges of the front and back boards. The titles and author have been stamped in gold to the spine between five raised bands. Each raised band has been hand tooled with gold.

Endpapers are handmade marbled paper, supplied by master marbler Jemma Lewis (UK). All three edges of each book have been hand gilded with genuine gold.

Each book also comes with a black silk marker ribbon. The books come housed in a custom made slipcase which has been lined with suede and covered in black archival buckram. The title of the trilogy has been stamped in gold to the front. The Golden Compass and The Subtle Knife have signatures inlaid on bookplates bearing the authors name. The Amber Spyglass has a signature directly on the title page. All three books are in mint condition inside. It looks like they have never been read.
