Beautifully illustrated 320+ page book published in 1973 by the Jockeys' Association of Great Britain showing all racing colours registered in GB at that time. This is the leather bound 1st edition of the book, signed by Lord Oaksey & Lester Piggott, which is limited to 1,000 copies of which this is number 536. There is a foreword by M R Norman OBE, Chairman of Gallaher Ltd, an article on the history of the Jockeys' Association by Robert Sangster, leading owner at the time and owner of that year's Epsom Derby winner, The Minstrel, an article by Lord Oaksey on the Injured Jockeys' Fund, an article on the history of racing colours by Dorothy Laird and brief comments by Bryan Jenks (Racehorse Owners' Association), Ian Balding (National Trainers' Association), Peter O'Sullevan, Lester Piggott & Bob Davies (NH jockey) as well as brief histories of both the Queen's & the Queen Mother's racing colours..
