Special Limited Edition of 500 copies photo book. Hand-numbered ,' AP/500' with one SIGNED original color C-Print ,' Untitled', 1992 (3-3/8" x 4-3/4", image below). Photograph is signed on verso in black ink by Alec Soth and hinged onto the final page, as published. Book has paper-covered boards, no dust jacket as issued, 16 pp. BRAND NEW / Mint condition. Alec Soth's contribution to the One Picture Book series opens with a note: In March of 1992, Rachel and I made a road trip down the Mississippi River. Along with our German Shepherd, Tasha, we traveled from our home in Minnesota to Memphis, Tennessee. The twelve images that follow - eleven reproductions and one original SIGNED photograph - are all previously unpublished. They convey wonderfully both the innocence and excitement of what was to become an epic journey. Alec Soth is a photographer born and based in Minneapolis, MN. He is the recipient of several major fellowships from the McKnight and Jerome Foundations and was awarded the 2003 Santa Fe Prize for Photography.

His work is represented in major public and private collections, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Soth's photographs have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the 2004 Whitney and São Paulo Biennials. His first monograph, Sleeping by the Mississippi , was published by Steidl in 2004; his follow up, NIAGARA , was also published by Steidl and released in 2006.
