A Room of One's Own / Virginia Woolf 1929 Signed 1st Edition Book #'d Rare! Original red cloth, gilt title, (9.75 x 6 inches), 159 pages, plus numbered colophon.

Signed limited first edition, number 297 of 492 copies signed by Woolf in her characteristic purple ink on the half title page, of which only 450 were for sale. By Robert Josephy and published on October 21, 1929, this edition preceded the English edition, both signed and trade, by three days Kirkpatrick A12. This book has been in my family for the past 20+ years.

I've decided it's finally time to let go of this magnificent 1st edition gem signed by none other than Virginia Woolf herself. My knowledge is rather limited when it comes to condition. The autograph page is really clean but there is a good amount of staining present on the cover. Although I will admit this most likely isn't going to be the nicest copy available condition-wise, it's still a highly desirable and rare numbered book that is difficult to acquire within this price range. I made an effort to attach the maximum number of allowable pictures so please feel free to check them out up close for yourself to assist in determining condition.
