It is autographed by the author, Gao Xingjian AND Mabel Lee, the translator. To my knowledge, there are three (3) known signed copies of this book by BOTH the author AND the translator in the world. Mabel Lee signed the book upon request back at the hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. The book is in mint condition.
It was placed in a plastic bag and never read. I was present at the 2000 Nobel ceremony in Stockholm and met both the author and translator.
I have pictures of myself with both Gao XingJian and Mabel Lee attached and proof of attendance at the Nobel Prize ceremony in 2000. As it turned out, my father-in-law at the time, Alan MacDiarmid, originally from New Zealand, knew Mabel Lee personally.
He won the Nobel prize for chemistry in 2000. As proof this is real, see the photograph with me and Gao the author, and another photograph of me with Mabel Lee. These photographs were taken in 2000 at the Nobel Prize Ceremonies.
