Wyeth was inspired to create the painting when he saw his neighbor Christina Olson, crawling across a field while he was watching from a window in the house. Wyeth, Andrew's relationship with his father was always strained, especially after the son's success. Original yellow blind-embossed stamped cloth, gilt-lettered spine.
In original unclipped color pictorial dust jacket designed by Larry Webster. Clean brown endpapers, no previous owners name or any other markings or condition issues, in Fine/New condition. Lavishly illustrated throughout in color and black and white. Signed by Betsy Wyeth and Andrew Wyeth in black ink on half title.
13.25" x 10.25" oblong and 282 pages including index. This portfolio would make a special gift or add to collection. Beautifully produced, gorgeous lush art by Wyeth. Not many on the market and not in this condition with original box.
