A first edition of Nadine Gordimer's first novel. First Edition, Signed, With Dustwrapper. This book weighs 0.5 KG when packed. Neatly signed by the author to the title page.

With a facsimile dustwrapper from the original designed by Ernest Ullmann. In original cloth binding with a facsimile unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, cloth has some marks and bumping, as well as some chipping and sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound and bright, with only some very occasional instances of spotting to the endpapers. Neat ink inscription to the front free endpaper.

Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will.
